Volunteer for Area Agency on Aging
Would you like to make a difference in the life of someone else? The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging (VCAAA) would like to invite you to consider volunteering for our Health Insurance and Advocacy Program (HICAP). Volunteering for HICAP provides an opportunity to give back to the community as well as obtaining knowledge in Medicare education, counseling, and elderly assistance.
Volunteer for Fire Department
The Community Service Volunteer program is in the Community Education division of the Fire Prevention Bureau. Volunteers are matched to available activities by their interests and abilities and the needs of the Department.
Volunteer for Graffiti Abatement Program
The Watershed Protection District’s (District) Graffiti Abatement Program works with concerned neighbors to locate and remove graffiti from property owned by the District. We work toward the goal by: Forming neighborhood graffiti patrols; Working with the respective City’s law enforcement; and Recruiting and training volunteers to assist with graffiti reporting/removal in their own neighborhoods.
Volunteer for the Library
You can change someone’s life! All you need is a big compassionate heart and some READ training. Since 1984, volunteer tutors in the Library’s READ Adult Literacy Program have provided free reading instruction to adults who want to improve their literacy skills. No previous experience is needed since free training is provided.
Volunteer for Sheriff’s Office
